| The twelve floors of the new Women's and Children's Hospital in San Antonio are filled with art. Site Painters was commissioned to create art for 2 of these floors. The theme In Bloom (chosen by the hospital) inspired numerous compositions of flowering plants. Using collages of painted papers, block prints, gouache renderings, and stenciled images, designs were made for corridors, patient rooms, exam and triage rooms. These were scanned at high resolution and printed on acrovyn panels. The installations bring soothing and welcoming colors into the environment with lyrical depictions of flowers and plants, enriching the visual experience for patients, families, and hospital staff. |
