Our clients, recent transplants from New England, were in love with the San Francisco Bay Area's climate and abundant gardens of Mediterranean plants. The murals are a poetic interpretation of this magical environment. Working with layers of red glazes, a rich warm ground for the design was developed. The large forms and gestures of plants were then freely brushed on. Stencils of smaller leaf and flower shapes completed the composition.
The painted garden dances and shimmers with the vibrant energy of the California sun.
